1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rope Access Network ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use our platform.

3. User Accounts and Eligibility

Technician Accounts

To create a technician account, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold current IRATA or SPRAT certification
  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Have legal authorization to work in your specified locations
  • Agree to verification of your credentials and experience

Employer Accounts

To create an employer account, you must:

  • Represent a legitimate business entity
  • Have authority to enter into employment arrangements
  • Comply with all applicable employment laws
  • Maintain appropriate business licenses and insurance
  • Subscribe to our employer service plans

4. Account Responsibilities

Information Accuracy

  • Maintain accurate, current, and complete profile information
  • Update certifications before they expire
  • Notify us of any changes to your professional status
  • Provide truthful work history and references

Account Security

  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication when available

5. Prohibited Activities

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Employer Subscriptions

  • All payments are non-refundable once services are accessed
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
  • Access continues until the end of the paid period after cancellation

Technician Accounts

  • Creating a technician profile is currently free
  • We may introduce premium features with separate pricing
  • Any future changes will be communicated with advance notice

Payment Processing

  • All payments processed through secure, PCI-compliant systems
  • We don't store credit card information on our servers
  • Failed payments may result in account suspension
  • Additional fees may apply for payment processing or currency conversion

7. Employment Relationships

Important: We Are Not Your Employer

Rope Access Network facilitates connections between technicians and employers but is not party to any employment arrangements or contracts that result.

Your Responsibilities

  • Negotiate your own terms and conditions of employment
  • Ensure compliance with tax obligations and employment law
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
  • Verify employer legitimacy and working conditions
  • Report any issues directly to relevant authorities

Our Role

  • Verify technician certifications and basic credentials
  • Screen employers for basic legitimacy
  • Provide a platform for communication and connection
  • Remove users who violate our terms or engage in misconduct

8. Intellectual Property

Our Content

  • Platform design, code, and functionality are our property
  • Trademarks and logos belong to Rope Access Network Ltd
  • You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our platform

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of content you upload (CV, photos, descriptions)
  • You grant us license to use your content to operate the platform
  • You're responsible for ensuring you have rights to all uploaded content
  • We may remove content that violates our policies

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

Platform Availability

We strive for high uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The platform is provided"as is" without warranties of any kind.

User Verification

While we verify basic credentials, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all user information or the suitability of any employment arrangements.

Employment Outcomes

We do not guarantee employment, specific rates, or particular job opportunities. Success depends on market conditions and individual qualifications.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rope Access Network's liability is limited to:

  • The amount you paid for services in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • £100, whichever is greater

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or employment opportunities.

11. Termination

By You

  • You may delete your account at any time
  • Employers may cancel subscriptions (no refunds for current period)
  • Some information may be retained for legal or safety purposes

By Us

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for terms violations
  • Immediate termination for safety violations or fraud
  • 30 days' notice for other terminations where possible
  • We may discontinue the service with reasonable notice

12. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law
